Is my friend into me?

I just met this woman who is very personable with people in general but I noticed that when she talks to me she is very close to my face and her eyes shift from mine to my lips and back up to my eyes. I met her "partner" a couple of days ago who told me that she's been saying great things about me. Do you think she's into me? And if so, why would she drop me hints if she's already with another woman?
