Why Are Illegal Aliens on U.S. Welfare?

I think welfare shouldn't be given to illegal or Americans , I think people should work for their money and not depend on others to support them. Beside when people who really need the help like low income and the old ask for help they refuse to help them or don't want to . It seems like they only want to help teen mothers and lady's that have 5 kids and they don;t even take care of them .Its just like with food stamps . I'm not a supporter of welfare or food stamps because like i said they don't help the people that really need the help.
