Is this free will or a trick to make you think it?

I have you in a prison with no walls, I say to you that you have the freedom to choose whether you want to stay or not. If you stay you will follow my rules, however if you leave I will have you flogged, your skin peeled back, and I will never let you return but suffer forever. Oh and don't forget I love you, that's why I give you a choice. Now is that really freedom of choice? Sound like I'm saying you don't have a choice? Which means I control you and your choice by fear rather than love. If you choose to stay it is for the lack of choice. Of course there will always be those brave enough to leave and find out that there are really no guards to stop them, no torture awaits. and Now they are truly free.
