Im very pale and..?

I dont want to use self tanner or any lotion or anything like that. Ive very pale and quite tired of it. I look drab because I have blonde, straight hair. Im thinking, maybe if I went in a tanning bed for a little while to get a bit of color, would that be okay? Would they let me do that?
